Pu-Erh Exotic

Pu-Erh exotic flavors with citrus and berry taste with raspberry bits in this earthy and acquired taste Chinese tea. Known in the Far East for its medicinal properties, Pu-erh tea (named after a town in the south), the not “fully” dried black tea is left in a naturally controlled temperature (i.e. in a cave) for 7-14 days, sometimes much longer, so that the naturally present bacteria can slowly react with the air/moisture to attain the earthy pu-erh character. The tea is often compressed into the cakes (inquire – special order only) – although sometimes left “loose” depending on the market.
